Battery Tips

The battery is one of the most important things in our devices and we need to take care of it in order to extend its lifespan. The following tips will help you make proper use of your device, and at the same time not to exhaust its battery.

Avoid exposure to temperature changes.

Although devices are designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, the ideal operating range is between 16° and 22° C. In cases of heatwaves, above 35 degrees, there is a risk of permanent damage to the battery capacity. When the battery temperature exceeds the recommended limit, the software may prevent it from charging above 80%. Accordingly, at very low temperatures there is a reduction in the battery operating time, but this is temporary and its performance under normal temperatures is not affected.

Take out the case.

Some cases, due to their bulk or material, contribute to the device's temperature increasing. For this reason, it is recommended to remove the case when you are charging your device and you see that the temperature is rising.

Maintain a charging pattern.

Each device has its own specifics when it comes to charging. Ideally, an iPhone should have a battery between 20% and 80%, a Mac between 30% and 90%, an iPad up to 80%, and an Apple Watch charged overnight.
