Advanced multi-protocol connectivity: The Aqara M3 Hub supports Zigbee 3.0, Thread, and Matter, offering flexibility and future-proof compatibility. It can connect up to 127 Thread/Zigbee devices while also allowing the integration of third-party devices via the Aqara Home app. At the same time, it acts as a Matter bridge, making existing Aqara Zigbee devices available on platforms such as Apple Home.
Local control & automation (Edge Hub): With an emphasis on local control, the M3 Hub executes automations directly on the device, ensuring faster response and greater reliability, even without an internet connection. It supports easy migration of devices from older Aqara hubs and works with Matter and HomeKit, while cloud notifications remain available for full oversight.
Smart 360° IR Blaster: The built-in infrared transmitter allows for the control of devices such as air conditioners, while it can also detect the use of traditional remote controls and update their status. Furthermore, it can be integrated into Matter and function as a thermostat when combined with Aqara temperature and humidity sensors.
Flexible connectivity: The M3 Hub offers multiple connection options, such as dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) with WPA3 security, a PoE port for a stable wired connection, and USB-C for operation with a power bank or mini-UPS. This ensures stable operation even in the event of a power outage.
Privacy & easy installation: Designed with privacy as a priority, the M3 Hub does not have a camera or microphone. It offers 8GB of local storage with end-to-end encryption for secure storage of data and settings. Magic Pair technology allows for instant connection to the Aqara Home app, while installation is easy with the ability to mount it on a surface, wall, or ceiling.
